this was on the cover of martha in december 2009.  i think i need to throw a party just to use this as an edible centerpiece...

since we are already pear lovers around here, i think this just might have to be an addition to next years tree.

besides, someday when we move from this cute little house of ours, this will be a sweet reminder of our lovely pear tree.
